Chaotic Returns

The BattleDromes are reopening. Chaotic Entertainment, in partnership with Panini America, has officially announced the relaunch of the Chaotic trading card game franchise with new physical cards, Organized Play, and a new online experience for mobile and desktop devices.

A new chapter for the TCG

Chaotic combines traditional trading card game play with an online experience. The new Chaotic Trading Card Game will feature five card types:

  • Creatures
  • Battlegear
  • Attacks
  • Mugic
  • Locations

The first release will introduce players to the world of Perim through four Creature Tribes, inventive Battlegear, explosive Attacks, immersive Locations, and powerful Mugic.

The initial physical card release is scheduled for late October 2026 through hobby stores, GameStop, and EB Games Canada. A major retail release is planned for January 2027.

Returning to Perim

Chaotic originally launched in 2007 as a Trading Card Game supported by an online experience and more than 30 hours of animated content. The relaunch brings back the art style and world that made the original franchise a cult classic, now with updated game mechanics, modern printing techniques, and premium finishes.

The revival is also supported by 79 upscaled High-Definition episodes of Chaotic Adventures, giving returning players and new fans another way to revisit the world of Perim.

Organized Play is coming

Early in 2027, Chaotic Organized Play will roll out to hobby stores across the United States and Canada. The program is planned to include:

  • In-store events led by trained Chaotic Ambassadors
  • Periodic tournaments and learn-to-play sessions
  • Exclusive promotional cards and themed giveaways
  • A pathway for dedicated players to compete at higher levels

Chaotic is designed to be experienced face-to-face: trading cards, playing matches, sharing strategies, and building real communities around the game.

The Scanner becomes real

For the first time, Chaotic will offer a fully integrated mobile online experience through a custom-built Progressive Web App, or PWA. Players will be able to access the experience through a mobile browser or tablet without depending on traditional app stores.

The PWA approach means no required downloads, no separate update cycle, and no platform gatekeepers. The same experience can be accessed across modern devices, bringing collection management and the Chaotic Scanner closer to the way it was imagined in the animated series.

The planned online experience will let players scan or enter the unique identifier on physical cards to add them to their online collection. Players will be able to build armies, manage their collection, trade with friends, and play the game through a connected Chaotic experience.
